Thurs., Sept. 7 at the Shop...

The mosquitoes were fierce in the shop! What's up with that? I wanted to light the citronella candles that Dar left, but no-one had any matches. These bikers are such health-nuts.

Jay Fruehling and Richard Castelnuovo and I were in attendance. Jay is now a keyholder to the shop.

Jay suggested that if anyone wants to tag bikes to be stripped, it would help him and others.

Regarding tagging/stripping/tearing down bikes:

On tuesday I hauled a bunch of bikes outside to the rack that I considered basket cases or too rusty and bent up to fix...
I then moved in their places a few mid-sized bikes that I thought were worthy projects. The Next day, Fred and Walt took it upon them selves to move many of them back in and clog the shop up again (I'm laughing really)

I hate to have the outside area a mess, but perhaps that area as well as tagging is a good way to prioritize location for recycle bikes. That would slowly free up valuable inside space on the floor and hooks for potential refurbs.

Yeah, the skeeters are a DRAG! The weather is beauty, and they are ruling the joint now. I will locate matches. NOw we need one of those old 'slapping' wood screen doors.
